Another Good Effort
King's Lynn B Schoolboys Team were in action at Cottenham's home tournament
The first game was against Invicta and Lynn started strongly, creating plenty of chances and hit the crossbar and post, before succumbing to an Invicta goal before half time.
In the second half Lynn B were certainly not helped by some dubious refereeing decisions including a good penalty shout. However Lynn B continued to battle and were kept in the game by Megan who was making some good stops when Invicta did break through. When it looked as though it was not going to be our day, Dan Howlett scored with under a minute to go to enable the team to gain a well deserved point.

Norwich were next and they had already impressed in a tight game against Cottenham. Starting well, Lynn were unlucky to go behind to a goal that had come off the Norwich player's skate. Putting this disappointment behind them, the team gradually imposed themselves on the game and took a 3-1 lead into half-time.

A Great Team Effort - Schoolboys B 19th November 2011
The Schoolboys B were in action at Lynnsport, at the King's Lynn A home tournament.
The B team's first match was against the King's Lynn A Team, who were unbeaten last season and had already started well this season.
The Lynn B team started strongly and held the A team for a full 5 minutes before finally conceeding a goal. Once the initial breach had been made the Lynn B team were then under pressure as Lynn A now had their tails up after being frustrated for so long. Although Lynn B played well, the A team proved to be too strong and rolled out easy winners at 13-2.

Schoolboys A - 19th November 2011
Kings Lynn Schoolboys A team had their home tournament of the season at Lynnsport on Saturday 19th November. As they were the home team four games were played against Bury, King’s Lynn Schoolboys B and two new-comers from the south Herne Bay and Invicta.
The first game against King’s Lynn B was almost like Friday night training. However, Lynn B were not in the mood to make it easy for Lynn A and they put up a strong fight. Despite determined play by the B team goalie Megan, Lynn A gained their first victory.
Game two against Invicta started slightly subdued until the A team began to work-out their opponents style of play, which was different to the last tournament. Good solid possessive play won through and the second-half of the game saw them confidently forge ahead to a second victory.

Match Report - 30th October 2011
King's Lynn Schoolboys A Team had their first tournament of the season at Soham hosted by the newly joined Invicta team. The first game was a low-key affair playing a depleted Ely team. Without their regular goalkeeper and any reserves
it is fair to say that Ely put-up little resistance to King's Lynn and at one point the game was played with three players on each team.
The second game was much more of a challenging one against our old rivals Cottenham.Slowly King's Lynn forged ahead and even against some very questionable referee's decisions , still managed a comfortable win.
Lastly Kings Lynn played the home team Invicta. This game proved to be unexciting as Invicta played a 'box' style game which limited any sparkling play from either team. King's Lynn simply played a heavily possessive game and forced the openings to score their goals.Invicta gained a penalty through Lynn's frustration but it was saved brilliantly by Kasia towards the end of the game.
Although none of the games were fullfilling it was a good points start to the season.

Match Report - 29th October 2011
This was the second outing of the season for the team, this time at Cambridge Regional College.
First game of the day was against tournament hosts Cottenham. The first half saw Lynn dominate from the start with good combination passing and the opposition resorting to long shots which were successfully saved by the keeper therefore going into half time 4-0 leaders. The second half saw more of the same with Lynn using Cottenham's less than accurate passing to their advantage resulting in all five outfield players scoring in this game to finish with a 9-0 win.
Second game of the day was against Norwich A. This was a hard and fast game showing the other teams how a game at this level could be played. The smaller rink suiting Norwich's playing style, Lynn kept applying the pressure and were rewarded with two well crafted goals before half time. The second half saw more in front of goal chances but couldn't make it into the back of the net, with Norwich getting a goal back saw Lynn having to settle for a 2-1 win, this was without doubt the best game of the season so far.
Third game of the day was against Ely A and saw Lynn take the lead in 18 seconds, this being the fastest goal of the day. This was an unremarkable game with Lynn taking control fully after this and never being troubled again coming out 10-2 winners.
The final game of the day was against newcomers Invicta from Kent. An uneventful first half saw us 4-0 in front, more of the same for the second half with Lynn coming out 11-0 winners with all five outfield players scoring and the keeper having another clean sheet.

Lynnsport Open Day 2011

Lynnsport held an open day last weekend a chance for people to come & have a go at all sports. KLRHC was given 1:00pm to 3:00pm to put on a display of roller hockey & to let new people have a go.
I would like to thank all the players that came, and the parents that help me run what turned out to be a very successfully afternoon.
We had 12 youngsters have a go and all were very interest, and impressed with roller hockey. They were amazed at the skill of the players. Keep an eye out over the next few weeks. We should have some new members to our club and who knows maybe some England players in the making.

U11's Match Report - 8th October 2011
The U11’s first tournament of the season was played at our home venue of Lynnsport.
Our first game was against the more experienced Cambridge team. Although we conceded 6 goals, Kings Lynn managed to score 4 goals in reply.
In our second game we played Peterborough (who finished runners up in the under 11’s last year). Again a very close game, with Kings Lynn defending well until Peterborough eventually run out 2 - 1 winners.
Third game was against Herne Bay United. This was a tough game for our young team. Herne Bay United went onto beat us 5 - 0. This game tested our defence and also tested our goalie Joshua Roberts. Herne bay United previously beat Cambridge 9 - 1, so the under 11’s held it together well! A good performance from the whole team.
Our last game we played Grimsby. This was always going to be a tough match, however under 11’s played with good fighting spirit. The end result was Kings Lynn 3 - 10 Grimsby.
A really good effort throughout the day from each and every player. It was a good experience for the whole team including the reserves: Ria Griffin (6) and Keaton Vincent (6) who experienced their first tournament. Well done Under 11’s!
The Team:
Joshua Roberts (GK), Finley Griffin, Jason Gay, Ryan Howlett, Ethan Shread, Joseph Hawes, Reserves Ria Griffin & Keaton Vincent
