Season Rolls On Right Track
King's Lynn Minors A team (Under13's) had the first tournament of the season for the club. King's Lynn u13's Minors In Action in the club's first tournament

They travelled to Burwell in Cambridgeshire where their first opponents of the season were Cottenham who came third to Lynn's runners up place in Division one last season.
With only six seconds on the clock gone, Captain Zak Robinson scored Lynn's opening goal. Other players soon joined in on the action as Matthew Baker and Owen Scott added their names to the score sheet. Half time and Lynn had control of the game at 5 - 0. The Second half saw three more goals making the final score 8 - 0.

Next game was against Letchworth who last season had a very young side, however they now had some new older players with them. Letchworth began strong testing out Kathryn Baker in goal, but after a few minutes the Lynn team settled down and began passing the ball around shutting Letchworth out of the game. The goals soon came with Ryan Shaw setting up Josh Horn. By half time Lynn were leading 3-0. The Second half saw an over confident King's Lynn side let their guard down as twice Letchworth slipped through the Lynn defence. Regaining composure, Lynn fought back with four more goals to end the game 7-2.

Last game Lynn played Cambridge, formally Chesterton, a new club. Lynn's experienced players were strong from the start with all players getting their names on the score sheet with a final score of 9-0. A great start to the season and with a game in hand King's Lynn are at the top of the league. The team will play again in October, and should be back to full strength as Owen Norris was not able to play as he sustained an injury in another sport.

The Team:
Zak Robinson (C), Kathryn Baker (GK), Owen Scott, Matthew Baker, Ryan Shaw & Josh Horn.
